Leadership Tuesdays: Power...Beth Revis

“Power isn’t control at all — power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn’t someone who forces others to make him [her] stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his [her] strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own.”

― Beth Revis, Across the Universe

Every other Tuesday, WOMEN AT LIBERTY presents Leadership Tuesdays, a platform for a variety of voices and resources to develop, encourage, and strengthen women leaders.  You are encouraged to read an article posted on our Women Making History Facebook page: Hillary Clinton Plans To Launch New Project To Empower Women by Ken Thomas.

In this article, Mr. Thomas discusses a recent speech that Hillary Clinton gave in Philadelphia on a new initiative called, "No Ceilings" that will empower women and children around the world. Speaking to a group of 7,000 at a women's conference she said, "Ceilings around the world that prevent education and health care and jobs and opportunity are equally unacceptable, and we're going to be about the business of making sure those ceilings crack for every girl and every woman here and around the world. So let's get cracking."

Need To Get Away?...Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

“It is always the false that makes you suffer, the false desires and fears, the false values and ideas, the false relationships between people. Abandon the false and you are free of pain; truth makes happy, truth liberates.”

--Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
