Thanks but in part;

Comes from the heart.

Stop Bullying and Be Accountable...Felicia Scott

Good people are capable of horrible things. I stopped bullying when others held me to a higher standard of behavior. As a reformed bully, I have learned that dealing with my self-hate was key to my transformation.

Time = Love

To a teenager, the time you spend with them, listening to them is a direct indication of your love for them. Even if they don't have a lot to say, they appreciate your presence and they will remember it.

Be Authentic!...@vnona

Someone needs your wisdom. They are crossing a bridge you already crossed.  They need to hear your story of how you were sad one moment, courageous the next, tired but kept going, took a break and started to live again. Your words may make the difference and cause someone to try again.

Leadership Tuesdays: Looking For Safety In A Storm...Faye Wattleton

“The only safe ship in a storm is leadership.”

--Faye Wattleton

Every other Tuesday, womenatliberty.com presents #Leadership Tuesdays, a platform for a variety of voices and resources to develop, encourage, and strengthen women leaders. Today's article is, "How to Defeat the Dangers of Disrespect" by Dan Rockwell (Twitter: @leadershipfreak). You can find this concise article posted on our Women Making History Facebook page.

No one wants to be disrespected. When leaders disrespect those whom they have been given the privilege of leading, they negatively impact the productivity of the entire team. They also encourage an environment where team members are more likely to disrespect each other. This type of behavior decreases morale and overall productivity.

Leaders must set the tone. They should respect their team members and they must also insist that team members respect one another. Dan Rockwell's article gives some examples of disrespectful behavior and practical tips on how leaders can show value for others.

I Like Me!

Never be ashamed of who you are. You have to accept that not everyone is going to love you back, that's why it's most important to love yourself. It's not about being what everyone wants you to be, it's about being yourself and finding someone who truly loves you for what you are.

Leadership Tuesdays: Accomplishing Much...Helen Keller

“Alone we can do so little. Together, we can do so much.”

--Helen Keller

Every other Tuesday, WOMEN AT LIBERTY presents Leadership Tuesdays, a platform for a variety of voices and resources to develop, encourage, and strengthen women leaders. Today's article is, "Leaders, Keep An Eye [On} Your ‘I’" by Joyce E.A. Russell.  You can find this article posted on our Women Making History Facebook page.

It can be tough sometimes to find the right balance between taking credit for your accomplishments and presenting accomplishments as a team effort.  As women we are encouraged to highlight our individual work and not be afraid to talk about our successes.  However, as a leader you have to find a balance.  If you lead a team, it is important to share credit with team members especially when they are present.  Most of our difficult business problems can not be solved alone.  Good leaders and good team members are needed.

Leadership Tuesdays: Power...Beth Revis

“Power isn’t control at all — power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn’t someone who forces others to make him [her] stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his [her] strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own.”

― Beth Revis, Across the Universe

Speaking to a group of 7,000 at a women's conference she said, "Ceilings around the world that prevent education and health care and jobs and opportunity are equally unacceptable, and we're going to be about the business of making sure those ceilings crack for every girl and every woman here and around the world. So let's get cracking."
