recognizing the following pioneering and trailblazing women:



  • Mariann E. Budde is the Bishop of the Washington Diocese of the Episcopal Church and the first female to be consecrated to this office in Washington, DC. She is the Spiritual Leader for over 85 congregations and their 40,500 members.
  • Linda R. Gooden is Executive Vice President of Information Systems & Global Solutions and an officer of Lockheed Martin, a leading defense industry contractor. With a Science, Technology and Engineering (STEM) background, she is the first woman to lead this business unit.
  • JC Hayward is Vice President for Media Outreach at WUSA TV9 in Washington DC. With over 40 years at WUSA TV9, she holds the distinction of being the first female anchor in the Washington DC media market.
  • Sheila C. Johnson is the Vice Chairman of Monumental Sports & Entertainment, President, and Managing Partner of the Washington Mystics. She is also the CEO & Founder of Salamander Hospitality, LLC. She was also the co-founder of Black Entertainment Television (BET).
  • Sharon R. Pinder is the President and CEO of the Pinder Group and the founder of the Annual  Top 100 Minority Business Enterprises Awards Ceremony in Maryland. She also served as the Special Secretary of the Governor’s Office of Minority Affairs.
  • Natalie Randolph is in her 2nd year as the Head Coach of Calvin Coolidge High School Football Team in Washington, D.C. The only female football head coach currently coaching in the U.S., she finished the 2011 Season with a 7-2 record and went to the school district's playoffs.
