Happy New Year! How are you doing on this second Tuesday of 2019? I hope your new year has gotten off to a great start. On Tuesdays, womenatliberty.com presents #LeadershipTuesdays, a platform for a variety of voices and resources to develop, encourage and strengthen women leaders. 

I really wanted to include a postscript in today's great quote by Nilofer Merchant. There's a bible verse that says 'money speaks to everything'. While we know that money cannot buy true love and genuine happiness, it is a necessary part of life. A lot of times women and minorities work hard and are hardly paid. Pursue your purpose, but remember to get paid and 'secure the bag', too. You got to do both in order to survive and thrive. Strive and work toward striking a balance between the two. Lastly, find a tribe who will love and support you unconditionally and beware of those who exploit others.
